Application Process

The Saskatoon Industry-Education Council (SIEC) is excited to be partnering with the University of Saskatchewan Computer Science Division to offer students an opportunity to experience the world of game development! Learn how to create your own computer game using programming and design skills.  Explore logic, mechanics and visuals that all go into creating a computer game from scratch. 

During the eight-week bootcamp, you will learn the skills you need to get started with game development; students will have the opportunity to design and build their own customized computer game project.

This bootcamp is designed for all skill levels.  If you have never programmed before, or are looking to expand on a base knowledge of game design, then this bootcamp is for you.

The Saskatoon Industry-Education Council (SIEC) is excited to present you with the opportunity to explore the automotive industry.  If you enjoy working on cars and have an interest in becoming an Automotive Service Technician the Automotive Skills Boot Camp is a great way to get a head start on your future career!

Participation in the camp opens the door for you to gain a basic understanding of automotive service, maintenance and repair.  It also provides you the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities with a qualified instructor.

Are you passionate about cooking?  Do you enjoy creating wonderful dishes for friends and family?  If you find that being in the kitchen is one of your favorite places to be the SIEC Culinary Skills Boot Camp is the program for you!

Being a professional chef is an extremely rewarding job that requires working in a fast paced, exciting environment.  The SIEC Culinary Skills Boot Camp aims to give you an introduction to the history and theory behind a number of different ingredients.  Along the way you’ll gain the skills necessary to be succesful in the culinary industry as you create magnificent meals.  You will have the opporuntity to learn from qualified instructors from the Culinary Arts program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic and cook in the industrial fitted kitchens.

Masonry is one of the oldest forms of construction known to humans.  It refers generally to brick, tile, stone and concrete work and is the foundation of all construction projects.

The Saskatoon Industry-Education Council (SIEC), in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, is excited to present you with the opportunity to explore the Masonry trade.  If you enjoy working hard and working with your hands, Masonry is a career for you.

Participation in the camp opens the door for you to gain a basic understanding of bricklaying. It also provides you the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities with a qualified instructor.
